what size am i?

{image via}

It seems as though sizes have become so inconsistent from store to store and brand to brand.  I'm not sure when this happened but I, and I'm sure many of you, have had to become pretty familiar with the variety of sizes that fit me these days... or I find myself ordering/taking into the dressing room a multitude of sizes to see what will work best.

This week I found out about What Size Am I?.  It's a new web app created by Anna Powell-Smith, a computer programmer in the U.K., that tells you your size in various brands' apparel based on the waist, bust and hip measurements you provide—how great is that?!  Definitely using this before my next big shopping trip.

style icon: olivia palermo

As much as I disliked Olivia Palermo during her days on The City, I have to give her major credit for her sense of style.  She is consistently polished and is always dressed to the nines by balancing an appropriate mix of classic with trendy, making it all look very effortless.

Here are my favorite looks:

I am so excited about the DVF + GapKids collaboration!  As you may remember, I love shopping for kids and babies at the Gap, so I'm anxiously awaiting its launch on March 15th.  In the meantime, here's an adorable sneak peak!

a (belated) fashion resolution for 2012

One of my New Year fashion resolutions is to incorporate more prints (and colors) into my wardrobe.  I tend to stick to solids, and in neutral colors no less, so working in some patterns in brighter shades is my goal this year!

Here are a couple of things I've already purchased...

Tucker Blouse (on sale at Piperlime!)

 And some inspiration for future purchases...

Yummy Pattern Swatches

For those of you who found out about BaubleBar when I did (last week!) and liked it as much as I did, there is a great deal today on Bloomspot—$25 for $50 worth or $50 for $100 worth of necklaces, bracelets, rings and more.

Here are some other (non-necklace) jewels I'm eyeing...

Enjoy!

baublebar brilliance

Am I the last person to find out about BaubleBar?  I came across it via a ShopStyle email, in my recent quest for a new statement necklace.  Here are some things I'm digging... at really reasonable prices.  But hurry if you find something you like—one of my original selections sold out overnight!

 Geo Necklace ($82)
